Abstract
This article focuses on a randomized controlled trial examining the effects of laughter yoga (LY) on the happiness and stress levels of nursing students in Turkey attending clinical practice for the first time. The study found that LY significantly increased happiness levels and reduced stress within the intervention group, although the difference in stress reduction between the LY and control groups was not statistically significant. The intervention consisted of eight face-to-face LY sessions over four weeks, combining unconditional laughter and breathing exercises as a holistic nursing practice. The authors suggest that LY is a cost-effective, practical method to support nursing students' well-being during clinical training and recommend further multicenter studies with longer interventions to confirm these findings.
