Temporal phlebitis in VEXAS syndrome.

Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 52-year-old man with various medical issues and a right-sided pain in the neck and a preauricular region. Examinations detected a UBA1-gene mutation which led to the diagnosis of (vacuoles, E1-ubiquitin-activating enzyme, X-linked, autoinflammatory, somatic ) syndrome (VEXAS). Bone marrow transplantation was effected six months after diagnosis and the patient's condition improved without ongoing treatment.
