Abstract

This article is a response to a critical appraisal of a case report on adult-onset Leigh's syndrome. The authors acknowledge the concerns raised and explain that they were unable to conduct certain tests due to unavailable facilities and financial constraints. They discuss the patient's symptoms, including walking difficulty and cognitive impairment, and suggest that the clinical presentation, biochemistry, radiology, and histopathology support a diagnosis of mitochondrial cytopathy. The article concludes by noting the heterogeneity in the presentation of Leigh's syndrome. [Extracted from the article]
