Abstract

The authors discuss a study by M. D. Willis et al on the associations between proximity and density of active oil and gas development sites within 20 kilometers of the participant's address during preconception and perceived stress, symptoms, and the use of psychotropic medication in women living in the U.S. and Canada. Topics include association of oil and gas development intensity with stress, depressive symptoms, and psychotropic medication use and suggestions for the government.
