Abstract
This article presents a case study focusing on the cognitive functioning of a 39-year-old Black female patient with recurrent craniopharyngiomas, rare tumors near the sellar/suprasellar prefrontal region. The study highlights the impact of the tumor and subsequent treatments on global cognitive deficits, particularly in language and memory, as well as severe neurobehavioral symptoms consistent with frontal lobe syndrome. Complicating medical conditions and inconsistent treatment adherence further influenced her cognitive and behavioral outcomes. The case underscores the importance of neuropsychological evaluations in monitoring cognitive status and guiding treatment planning to support quality of life in adults with recurrent craniopharyngiomas.
