Abstract
This study focuses on examining the impact of mindfulness and social support on psychological distress among Jordanian burn survivors. Using a cross-sectional design with 212 participants, the research found that higher levels of mindfulness and social support were significantly associated with lower psychological distress, particularly among those with long-term burn deformities. Psychological distress was also influenced by clinical factors such as burn complications, degree of burn, frequency of hospital admissions, and quality of social relationships after the burn. The findings suggest that mindfulness-based interventions, combined with psychological support, may enhance the psychological well-being of burn survivors in Jordan.
