Abstract
This article focuses on the high prevalence of anaemia among children aged one to three years in eight districts of Aceh Province, Indonesia, and identifies associated factors. A cross-sectional study of 1,148 mother-child pairs found that 76.1% of children were anaemic, with moderate anaemia being most common. Significant factors associated with child anaemia included younger child age (12–24 months), lack of routine immunisation, and maternal anaemia. The findings highlight the need for integrated, context-specific interventions addressing maternal health and immunisation coverage to reduce childhood anaemia in this region.
