Abstract
This article focuses on the epidemiology and clinical characteristics of dengue–typhoid co-infection among febrile patients at a tertiary hospital in Delhi. The retrospective study found a 16.8% prevalence of typhoid fever among dengue-positive cases, with adults and the monsoon season being most affected. Key clinical predictors of co-infection included myalgia and jaundice, while laboratory findings such as anemia and thrombocytopenia were common in co-infected patients. The study emphasizes the diagnostic challenges posed by overlapping symptoms and advocates for integrated serological testing to improve accurate diagnosis and management of dengue and typhoid co-infections in endemic regions.
