Abstract
The authors comment on a study by S. Garg and colleagues which evaluated renal arteriosclerosis in kidney biopsies of patients with lupus nephritis (LN) and examined its associations with the occurrence of atherosclerotic cardiovascular (CV) disease. Topics include factors associated with the rise of atherosclerotic CV disease, prevalence of dyslipidaemia in SLE, and factors that may be considered when interpreting the study's findings.
