Abstract

The article discusses research published in the issue of the journal "Current Oncology" which analyzed the effect of dance/movement therapy (DMT) on outcomes for pediatric patients with cancer. The study identified the race of patients, common cancer types, and reasons for referral to DMT. It evaluated patient's coping with hospital experience, emotional self-regulation, improvements in pain management, physical activity, self-expression, socialization and caregiver-child interaction.
