Abstract
This article focuses on the use of procedural hypnosis and advanced rapport skills to manage stress, anxiety, and pain in dental healthcare settings. Procedural hypnosis, a rapid and practical form of hypnotic communication tailored for frontline dental staff, helps patients remain comfortable during interventions by fostering instant rapport and using positive language, thereby reducing pain, anxiety, and the need for sedation. Training dental teams in these techniques not only improves patient outcomes and satisfaction but also enhances team communication, reduces occupational stress, and benefits practice management by increasing patient retention and efficiency. The article highlights validated training programs such as Comfort Talk®, emphasizing safe application within professional boundaries and advocating for wider integration of hypnosis in healthcare education.
