Abstract

The history of China (the PRC) in European territories since 1949 has mostly focused on the isolation of the state from outside influences. Chinatowns, then, are the result of wealthy and/or enterprising (i.e., entrepreneurial) Chinese immigrants from the mainland People's Republic of China (PRC) who have migrated to the most industrialized countries in the world.
