Abstract
The article discusses the enduring popularity of Muammar Qaddafi in Libya, even over a decade after his death. Many Libyans believe that the country was better off under his rule, citing social stability, economic prosperity, and security. Since his assassination, Libya has been in a state of anarchy, with ongoing conflicts, corruption, and a lack of public services. The Western intervention in Libya in 2011, aimed at promoting freedom and prosperity, has not led to the desired outcomes, leaving many Libyans feeling cheated and disillusioned.
