USHABTIS OF THE GREAT CHIEF OF MA TAKELOTH B.

Abstract

This article deals with six ushabtis of the Great Chief of Ma and high priest of Ptah, Takeloth B; a royal administrator from the Libyan Dynasty (22nd Dynasty) who was active in powerful priestly and regional leadership roles during the Third Intermediate Period in Ancient Egypt (eighth century BC). They are now displayed in the Museum of the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University. These six ushabtis were found in his tomb in Memphis. The study investigates these ushabtis of Takeloth B in whose tomb about 150 statuettes were found. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
