Africa – Iran: Raisi Condolences.

Abstract

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has expressed his condolences for the deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a helicopter crash. Al-Sisi, who has been working towards normalizing relations with Iran, extended his sympathies to the Iranian people and expressed solidarity with Iran in their loss. Egypt and Iran have been seeking to improve their strained ties, with diplomatic exchanges increasing in recent months. South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa also expressed regret over Raisi's death, highlighting the strong bilateral relations between South Africa and Iran. [Extracted from the article]
