Abstract

A reprint of the article "How to Preempt Team Conflict" by Ginka Toegel and Jean-Louis Barsoux, which appeared in the June 2016 issue, is presented. The authors propose that team leaders hold five structured conversations focused on how team members look, act, speak, think, and feel in order to proactively surface differences, build understanding, and prevent destructive conflict.
