Abstract
The article present literary criticism of "King Lear" play by William Shakespeare. Topics include "King Lear's" existential musings in Act 3, scene 4, where he reflects on the concept of "unaccommodated man" as a representation of humanity's plight; the ambiguous meaning of "forked" in relation to human identity and cuckoldry; the critique of humanity's perceived superiority over other creatures; and how these themes are intricately woven into the play's language and characterization.
