Abstract

The article explains meteor scatter as a unique radio propagation method that uses ionized meteor trails to reflect signals over long distances for brief periods. Topics include how meteors create ionization in the atmosphere enabling signal reflection, the optimal timing and conditions for meteor-scatter communication, and the use of modern digital modes like MSK144 to detect and decode short signal bursts.
