Abstract

The article focuses on recent advancements and product launches in satellite communications and space technology. SpinLaunch introduced Meridian Defense, a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation with integrated inter-satellite links (ISL) designed to provide governments with secure, resilient, and sovereign communications infrastructure, emphasizing control and operational flexibility in contested environments. X-lumin demonstrated a breakthrough roundtrip optical transmission using a compact 15cm Optical Ground Terminal (OGT), enabling portable, low-power, high-capacity laser communications compatible with government and commercial standards. Additionally, Momentus Inc. successfully deployed its Vigoride 7 Orbital Service Vehicle on a SpaceX mission, marking a key step in testing next-generation in-space satellite capabilities.
