Abstract
The article focuses on the spread of misinformation regarding cloud seeding as a cause of the recent devastating floods in Texas, which resulted in at least 89 fatalities. Meteorologists and experts have clarified that there is no evidence linking cloud seeding to the extreme rainfall, which was attributed to natural weather systems, including monsoonal moisture and remnants of a tropical storm. Despite a brief cloud seeding operation conducted by Rainmaker Technology Corp. prior to the floods, experts assert that the technique could not have influenced the record-breaking rainfall. The article highlights the need for better public understanding of weather modification technologies to reduce unfounded concerns during severe weather events. [Extracted from the article]
