Abstract

The book includes the papers presented at the XVIII SP th sp international conference of Mega-Chad, the International Network for Multidisciplinary Research in the Lake Chad basin, which took place in N'Djamena (Niger), in January 2020. It can be admitted that every chapter of the book could be deepened in an independent book: a book on environmental and political insecurity, a book on the life of farmers and pastoral populations, and so on. At the same time, this could also be the strength of the book, because it tries to cover many aspects of the complex situation in the Lake Chad basin. [Extracted from the article]
