Abstract
Students formulate questions on weather and climate while watching the movie, and the course is then designed from the student questions. Inquiry about weather has become integral at a nearby elementary school: second graders conduct daily weather briefings when studying their unit on weather. As needed, the instructor may augment the student-led weather briefing afterward with additional information, especially in weather situations that can extend learning with new concepts. Teachers that have taken this course report engaging discussions with elementary students about science after a local weather event. [Extracted from the article]
