Abstract

Recent studies have suggested that the Moon formed around 65 million years after the start of the Solar System, making it nearly as old as Earth. This new information has resolved debates about the Moon's age and its impact on Earth's history. Researchers have used various methods, such as dating lunar minerals and analyzing Apollo rocks, to determine that the Moon is approximately 4.5 billion years old. The findings challenge previous beliefs about the Moon's formation and its early history, shedding new light on the evolution of the Solar System. [Extracted from the article]
