Abstract
My one-year project is a computer simulation of a social and economic network that contains game elements, which draws from Austrian economics and shows how the Philippine virtues kagandahang-loób (beauty-of-will), utang-na-loób (debt-of-will), and hiyá (propriety/ shame) can contribute to sustainability. Philippine ethics is summed up in the word kapwa, which literally means “other person” but has the sense of treating another person as part of one’s family, clan, or tribe. Through continuous research and refinement, the project has moved towards digital fashion, with designs inspired by Austrian baroque and Philippine wildlife to promote environmental consciousness and sustainability. These designs are not only meant to be included in the simulation/game itself, but hopefully created for other digital venues and metaverses as well. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
