Abstract
This article summarizes research conducted when artificial intelligence (AI) sets wages for workers. The research utilized eight large language models (LLMs)--including GPT-4o, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, and DeepSeek-R1— and 60,000 freelancers' profiles, examining impact by age, gender and geography on AI-set wages. This article reports on the findings and insights gained with an emphasis on how prompts to the LLMs factors in.
