Abstract

President Joe Biden will sign an executive order aimed at increasing federal funding accessibility for Native American tribes in the US. The order will require US agencies to take steps to ensure that funding is more equitable and addresses the priorities of indigenous communities. It will also establish the Tribal Access to Capital Clearinghouse, which will provide a database of federal funding opportunities. The order coincides with the annual Tribal Nations Summit, where the administration will release the 2023 Progress Report for Tribal Nations. Native American voters were influential in Biden's victories in Arizona and Wisconsin. [Extracted from the article]
