Abstract
This article focuses on NatureSweet, a produce company that prominently features its associates on packaging to highlight their central role in its success. NatureSweet, certified as a B Corp, emphasizes fair wages, safe working conditions, and extensive training and educational opportunities for its largely Mexican workforce, including a pilot program enabling employees to earn bachelor's degrees in agriculture by 2028. The company’s people-first approach has resulted in low employee turnover, high productivity, and sustained double-digit growth, distinguishing it in an industry often criticized for poor labor practices. NatureSweet also engages consumers through its "Under the Label" program, connecting them with workers’ stories, and collaborates with organizations to promote equitable labor standards and environmental responsibility.
