Abstract

The article examines the role and challenges of locum Educational Psychologists (EPs) within overstretched local authority services. Topics include the marginalization of locum EPs and misconceptions that undervalue their contributions, the impact of systemic and economic factors on their professional recognition, and proposed solutions such as fostering collaboration, reforming workload structures, and improving contracting practices.
