Abstract
The article discusses the increasing role of social media (SoMe) in medical education, highlighting its benefits in accessing new research, promoting discussion, and enhancing learning opportunities. However, concerns such as professionalism, patient confidentiality, and misinformation must be considered when using SoMe platforms. Guidelines from urological societies provide advice on maintaining professionalism and patient confidentiality, but adherence to these guidelines is often poor. While SoMe offers valuable educational resources for urologists and patients, the lack of regulation and quality control necessitates vigilance when using these platforms.
