Abstract

The article focuses on how verbatim re-enactment in "Operation Varsity Blues" and "Reality" reshapes our understanding of historical authenticity by transforming FBI documents into performed screen narratives. Topics include the relationship between archival evidence and re-enactment, the temporal dynamics that blur boundaries between past and present, and the ways performance and staging reveal how power structures shape the production of historical "truth."
