Abstract
The adoption of service robots in the hospitality industry has increased due to the recruitment and retention crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Great Resignation. A survey by the National Restaurant Association found that 79% of restaurant operators have difficulty hiring and 62% are understaffed. To successfully implement service robots, businesses must involve their frontline service team in the decision-making process, consider the physical space and make necessary changes, and provide training and support to staff. Service robots can improve customer service if their purpose is clear, the environment is suitable, and leadership actively supports staff during the adoption process. [Extracted from the article]
