B Areas: b ED said activities will include developing a service plan annually in consultation with ED, that addresses implementation challenges faced by SASI grantees and high-need LEAs in those States, and reflects emerging needs in public school infrastructure and sustainability; developing and implementing an effective personnel management system that enables the grantee to retain and efficiently obtain the services of practitioners, researchers, policy professionals, and other consultants; developing and maintaining an NCSI clearinghouse website with an easy-tonavigate design that meets government or industry-recognized standards for accessibility, including 508 compliance; and gathering, organizing, and making available school infrastructure data to support federal policymaking, among others. B Scope: b The Education Department's Office of Elementary and Secondary Education seeks applications for the Safe and Supportive Schools: National Center on School Infrastructure (NCSI) announcement to establish a national center on school infrastructure that will serve as a clearinghouse of resources for states and local educational agencies (LEAs) related to improving and developing safe, healthy, sustainable, and equitable public school infrastructure through public school infrastructure improvements, and provide technical assistance (TA) to Supporting America's School Infrastructure (SASI) grantees and high-need LEAs seeking to leverage available resources to improve public school facilities for all students.
