Abstract
This article focuses on the National Association of School Nurses' (NASN) position that student health, well-being, and academic success depend on a safe, supportive, and equitable school environment free from in-person bullying and cyberbullying. It highlights the critical role of registered professional school nurses in collaborating with school teams to prevent bullying, identify affected students, and implement sustained interventions. The article defines bullying as repeated aggressive behavior involving power imbalances and notes its negative impacts on students' academic and health outcomes. It emphasizes the importance of evidence-based prevention programs, social-emotional learning, restorative justice, and school nurse advocacy in fostering a positive school climate that supports all students.
