Abstract
A recent study conducted in Fujian, People's Republic of China, focused on students' perceptions of need-supportive teaching, basic psychological need satisfaction, and life skills development in Chinese physical education. The research, based on self-determination theory, found that teacher need-support positively correlated with psychological need satisfaction, which in turn positively correlated with students' life skills development in physical education. The study emphasizes the importance of teachers exhibiting need-support to satisfy students' basic psychological needs and promote their life skills development in physical education.
