Abstract
This letter discusses the use of virtual admissions interviews in veterinary school applications, highlighting their increased adoption during the COVID-19 pandemic. While virtual interviews are generally viewed positively, concerns are raised about ensuring privacy and standardization, particularly regarding differences in internet speed that could affect interview performance. The authors emphasize the need for ongoing improvements, including strong organizational strategies and contingency planning, to support successful virtual interviewing. They also note that virtual interviews are expected to become more common in academic medicine and may contribute to enhancing diversity in undergraduate medical admissions.
