Abstract

The article details the effort of the English language department of a large private Japanese university in improving the professional lives of their part-time English language teachers (ELT). Topics include increased accessibility for the part-time ELT faculty to the administrators who coordinate their classes, building a community of practice and opportunities for continuing professional development such as workshops and conferences.
