Abstract
College students majoring in education are ideally situated to develop a research identity through mentorship when faculty model the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). Footnotes 1 This article describes how faculty mentor students in the development of their own research habits through modeling Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research. As we, in our role as college instructors, build our own identity as SoTL scholars, we model that work and a research identity for both our undergraduate and graduate students.
