Abstract

This article focuses on research into the design and delivery of online MBA programs, examining student perceptions across three international institutions: Imperial College (UK), ESMT (Germany), and Ivey Business School (Canada). The study identifies three key factors for student satisfaction in online MBAs: strong faculty engagement, meaningful peer interaction, and flexible yet well-structured learning environments, with students’ self-efficacy in online learning playing a significant role in program effectiveness. It also highlights that while digital familiarity aids students, success depends more on program design and support than on age or background. Additionally, the research emphasizes the importance of instructional designers in creating coherent online courses and the need for faculty to understand pedagogical and technological elements to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
