Abstract

This article focuses on the experiences and reflections of a peer professional group (PPG) of coaching practitioner psychologists and coaches engaged in online peer group supervision from November 2020 to March 2024 under the British Psychological Society's Division of Coaching Psychology. It explores four main themes: the commonalities and differences between peer, individual, and group supervision; strengths and enablers for effective peer supervision such as trust and mutual support; challenges and opportunities encountered in sustaining the group; and the role of self-care and ethical commitments within supervision. The group's reflective practice aimed to mitigate professional isolation exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic and to promote wellbeing, professional development, and ethical coaching practices. The article suggests that peer supervision offers a valuable, collaborative space for growth and support among coaching professionals, with implications for future peer supervision initiatives.
