Abstract

This paper examines university-industry collaboration (UIC) in agricultural education across eight Sub-Saharan African universities, focusing on institutional, relationship, and output factors that influence these partnerships. It identifies effective management structures, stakeholder engagement, and the N-tuple Helix Model as key to successful collaborations that enhance student employability, technology transfer, research innovation, and curriculum relevance. Challenges include limited funding, industry reluctance, and intellectual property concerns, while opportunities arise from government initiatives and international support. The study emphasizes the need for context-specific strategies and dedicated liaison offices to foster sustainable, mutually beneficial university-industry partnerships in the region.
