Abstract

The article discusses the experiences of women in physics education, particularly in two-year colleges, where they often feel the need to prove themselves and leave aspects of their identity behind. The authors highlight the benefits of mutual mentoring groups, such as the eAlliance project, in providing a safe space, mutual support, and a sense of belonging for women in STEM fields. The authors encourage other faculty members to embrace diversity, authenticity, and inclusivity in physics education through distributed peer mentoring networks. [Extracted from the article]
