Abstract
The article explores the question of whether multinational companies should centralize or decentralize their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies. A study involving over 100 large companies found that while most companies have centralized DEI teams, those with decentralized teams report greater business impact and are more likely to invest in DEI efforts. The study also highlights differences in priorities between centralized and decentralized teams, emphasizing the importance of addressing region-specific issues and avoiding blind spots in DEI initiatives. Leaders are recommended to adopt a blended approach, invest with agility, and eliminate blind spots to drive meaningful change and foster inclusion in a diverse world. [Extracted from the article]
