Healthcare and Education Professions' Perception of Government Health Crisis Management in Thailand.

Abstract
This article examines healthcare and education professionals' perceptions of the Thai government's effectiveness in responding to the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study found that both professions rated the government's response as "fair" across most domains—including regulatory actions, risk assessment, proactive risk management, border control, and economic and budgetary responses—while healthcare professionals rated risk communication to the public as "good." No significant differences were observed between the two professions' satisfaction levels, but less-experienced professionals expressed lower satisfaction than their more-experienced counterparts. Qualitative interviews highlighted appreciation for timely communication and regulatory measures but also noted challenges such as delayed policy implementation, insufficient economic support, and difficulties adapting to online education, suggesting areas for government improvement in future crises.
