Abstract
This article explores the benefits of incorporating debating into the classroom for Year 7 and 8 students. It highlights how debating can enhance critical thinking skills, research abilities, teamwork, and oral communication skills. The authors also provide practical advice for implementing a successful debating program and suggest debate topics suitable for different year groups.
