Abstract

This article focuses on research from Eskisehir Osmangazi University in Turkiye examining the impact of artificial intelligence (AI)-supported problem-solving instruction on daily living skills in adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The study involved three male adolescents aged 14-17 and used a structured AI-assisted program delivered via iPad, incorporating task analysis, errorless instruction, and visual cues. Results showed improvements in independent problem-solving during daily tasks, generalization of skills to new scenarios, and maintenance of these skills for up to six weeks post-intervention. The research concluded that AI-supported strategies are effective, valid, and socially acceptable for supporting daily life tasks in adolescents with ASD. [Extracted from the article]
