Abstract
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has allocated $65 million in funding to support community college programs that provide affordable and high-quality workforce training. The funding will benefit sectors such as manufacturing, clean energy, semiconductors, and biotechnology. The grants aim to enhance career pathway programs and promote equitable outcomes for marginalized and underrepresented populations. Community colleges will receive grants of up to $1.75 million for single institutions and up to $5.75 million for groups of institutions, with at least one award going to a Native American tribally controlled community college. The deadline to apply for the grants is September 24, 2024. [Extracted from the article]
