Abstract

American professors from the University of Missouri, North Carolina State University, Virginia Tech University, and the University of Georgia taught a virtual course on "Fescue Toxicosis and Management" to students at three universities in Ukraine. The course was a response to a request from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for American professors to help Ukrainian students complete their degrees during the war. The course aimed to educate students about the problem of fescue toxicosis in the US and promote the use of alternative grass cultivars. This pilot course served as a humanitarian effort and provided a successful model for future courses in Ukraine. [Extracted from the article]
