Abstract
A recent study conducted by researchers from the University of Indonesia compared the effectiveness of two reading strategies, Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) and Reciprocal Teaching Strategy (RTS), in improving reading comprehension among elementary school students. The study involved 125 students and three teachers, with the intervention and control groups assigned equally. The results showed a significant interaction effect between treatment and time, indicating that both strategies led to improvement in reading comprehension. However, the CSR group demonstrated greater improvement compared to the RTS group. The study suggests that CSR is a more effective method for enhancing reading comprehension performance in elementary school students. [Extracted from the article]
