Abstract
This article focuses on research investigating the relationships among mindset growth, emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and aesthetic engagement in music education among university students in China. Conducted by Monash University Malaysia, the study surveyed 2,369 students across 32 universities using validated instruments and analyzed data through Structural Equation Modelling. Findings indicate that an incremental mindset growth significantly predicts emotional intelligence and self-efficacy, which in turn enhance students' aesthetic appreciation and engagement in music. The research suggests theoretical contributions to cognitive and affective psychology and recommends incorporating mindset growth and emotional development strategies into music curricula.
