Abstract
The article focuses on Ball State University's (BSU) strategic plan to ensure that all students have access to one of four High Impact Practices (HIPs)—Undergraduate Research, Immersive Learning, Study Abroad, and Societal Issues—before graduation. The initiative aims to enhance student learning and career preparation through meaningful engagement in these practices. Faculty members have collaborated through a faculty learning community (FLC) to develop a shared understanding of HIPs and to create inclusive opportunities for all students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. The article includes testimonials from faculty involved in the implementation process, highlighting the importance of peer learning and the need for external partnerships to support these initiatives.
